So you may have noticed that the posts that I had moved to Quux.Baz have returned to this website. This is mainly because it’s just too annoying to manage two independent WordPress installations, but also because my Quux.Baz domain is going to expire soon and I don’t want to pay another $8 for a website I don’t even update frequently. This concludes the site re-reshuffle.
I also got around to making the comments appear more bearable, so I don’t cringe every time I see them (all two of them).
That’s all for this short and sweet post.Comments: none yet | Filed under: site | Tagged: comments, cyderize, cyderize.org, quux.baz, site

So I’ve now returned from a three day strings music camp. It was a lot of fun, although quite tiring once you’ve been rehearsing for more than a couple of hours. We had a good guest conductor, who used to go to GWSC as well. We played three pieces: Allegro from Sinfonia No. 6 in G Minor by J. C. Bach, Orientale (Op. 15, No. 2) by Alexander Glazunov and four of the Romanian Folk Dances by Béla Bartók. We’re going to be playing these pieces for the VSMF later in the year, which is the reason behind us going to this camp.
We also had a trivia night and challenge, in which we had to answer music related questions (the trivia) and perform a recreation of a famous movie scene (the challenge). It was an interesting experience, and my group came 5th, which is not a bad effort at all.Comments: none yet | Filed under: school | Tagged: bartok, concert strings, glazunov, j.c. bach, music, music camp, stephen chin, strings, VSMF
