Now, all of my exams have been marked. I always manage to mess something up in year 10 maths; 54/55 for tech-free, 60/60 for tech-access. Oh well.
To recap, my exam results for this semester were:
English: 8/10, 9/10 = EX
History: 10/10, 10/10, OS = OS
Mathematics (Year 10): 54/55 (OS), 60/60 (OS)
Science: 100%, 100%, 80% = 100/103 (OS)
Mathematical Methods: 79/80 (OS), 64/70 (OS)
Not too bad. Could’ve been better though. My grade summary says I have an EX average for both semesters. I see that my grades in PE let me down both times. Whatever… I can live with that.Comments: none yet | Filed under: school | Tagged: english, exams, history, maths, maths methods, school, science

So today, two hours of maths exams, comes the conclusion of semester two exams. Pretty good run, I’m satisfied with my marks so far. Science was marked quickly, 100% for chemistry, 100% for electricity/magnetism and 80% for microbes. Luckily microbes is only worth 15% of the exam mark. 100/103 isn’t bad. It just reinforces the fact that I like physics and chemistry, but not biology.
History was good too, 10/10 for section A, 10/10 for section B and OS for section C. Funny how my best mark for history class coincides with the time my writing to me, seems lowest quality.
English wasn’t bad (just not as good as usual); it wasn’t OS… Damn. Oh well, that wasn’t exactly my best writing, and it’s difficult to get OS since 9/10 already moves you down to EX. I dislike marks out of 10. Too hard to get a good worded (ordinal? not quite…) grade.Comments: none yet | Filed under: school | Tagged: english, exams, history, maths, school, science

It appears that I have maintained OS for Maths Methods tech-free and tech-access this semester. As I’d hoped.
After one hundred minutes of science examination comes the conclusion of today’s exams. It wasn’t too hard, although there were some parts I probably made stupid mistakes on. Plus, there was a bit about electromagnetic induction which we didn’t learn about in class (luckily I already knew it).
Interestingly (or perhaps uninterestingly), the exam is out of 103, so 94 marks should be sufficient for an OS outcome. I should be able to get more than this… There were some pretty odd questions, though.
On another note, an email received yesterday informed me that my application for the University of Melbourne Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars program was successful. Of course, this was an email from the university itself, not from my school, who has yet to inform me.Comments: none yet | Filed under: school | Tagged: exams, kldys, maths, maths methods, school, science
